Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

James completed 2 unassisted lifts of the Dinnie Stones at the Aboyne highland games. His lifts were witnessed by David Webster, James' dad Steve, Drs Terry & Jan Todd, Bill Crawdord, Martin Jancsics and a large crowd of spectators. James' second lift was part of a lift and hold competition which he won with a massive 13 second unassisted hold. His lifts were filmed as part of the 'Wind Beneath the Stones' documentary on Scottish historical stone lifting filmed by Rogue Fitness.
